The TeamHiway Corkboard may end up being your favorite feature. For users without a email account, it's the perfect way to communicate.

The Corkboard is a message board. Create a corkboard subject. Add a message. It's there instantly for everyone to see. (Seen by everyone that has the right to see it, of course, because of TeamHiway's built-in password security.)

After a message has been posted to the Corkboard, other users can respond to the message online, in real-time, indefinitely. Kind of like instant messaging to an entire group, but with the added benefit that all the messages are saved until deleted. Messages and message trails can be searched, sorted, and re-read.

Users don't need an email account to see the Corkboard, read messages or to post responses. All they need is Internet access and the right to see a corkboard using their username and password. But, any user with a email account can be notified of a corkboard post, using TeamHiway's E-Alert email notification feature.

Example:

Player Mark Jones is looking for a ride to practice on Saturday. He posts a message to the Corkboard which everyone on the team can see. Jones doesn't have an email account so he uses the Corkboard to post messages and send email notices to all users on the email notification list.

Player Kevin Smith is online, gets an email with Jones' message. He goes to the corkboard and responds saying he can give him a ride and offers to take anyone else. Smith's message is posted on the Corkboard, and an email is sent from Smith to everyone on the list with the offer.

Because the coaches are also on the email notification list of player corkboard posts, they instantly know via email that Jones needs a ride and that Smith is going to give him one.
